About me
A passionate, attentive and caring instructor, I take a holistic approach to Pilates fitness focusing on muscular balance, pain-free movement and total body conditioning. Every body deserves movement and we will work together to find pain free a movement practice. Drawing upon my movement background, I give well-rounded full-bodied workouts with a sense of humor and lightheartedness. I enjoy motivating individuals through appropriately challenging exercises to reach the next fitness level. Working with people of all different ages and abilities, I encourage individuals to reach their fitness goals, improving strength, posture, and alignment through Pilates.
I began teaching Pilates in 2009 and received my Balanced Body Comprehensive Certificate in 2012 (500hrs + exam) and National Pilates Certification Program formerly the Pilates Method Alliance certification in 2016. While working at Equinox (luxury fitness company) in February 2017 I received an Equinox Institute Pilates Comprehensive Training Program certificate and became a teacher of teachers.
PRE - POSTNATAL CARE
In 2014 I completed a Pre and Postnatal Pilates Specialist training program and became a mother April 2019. I’ve had success working with women with pelvic floor disorders and diastasis recti and helping postpartum women return to activities they loved pre-baby.
Each postnatal session focuses on re-establishing mind-body connections to your core while stretching/strengthening muscles needed to care for you and your growing LO (little one) and return to activities you love.
GYROTONIC®
While pregnant with my first son in 2020 I completed the Level 1 GYROTONIC® certification and to better serve my virtual clients I recently added GYROKINESIS® Cardiovascular Breathing to my repertoire. This course coordinates breath and movement techniques to access the cardiovascular system — an incredibly energizing class!
